Faith Over Doubt

These questions are designed for you to think on through the week, discuss with a Bible Fellowship or accountability partner, or lead with in family devotions. We hope they help you in your spiritual development.

  1. What are two takeaways that you had from tonight’s sermon?
  2. Why do you believe that doubt plagues so many Christians?
  3. Name someone in your life who exhibits faith daily in God. How does that person make a conscious effort to choose faith over doubt? What changes can you make to exhibit more faith?
  4. Read Hebrews 11:6. What does this say pleases God?
  5. Read James 1:6–8. Discuss what it means to be "tossed by the wind." How does James describe someone who doubts?
  6. Pray and ask God for increased faith. Ask Him to replace your doubts with faith.

Memory Verse: "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1
